Some of you may have written for publication before, and many of you may have wanted
to but lacked the opportunity. So now we’re going to give you your chance. Send
us your articles, and if our editorial board considers your piece well-written, properly
constructed, knowledgeable and fair, we’ll publish it.
Just remember the following rules:
- Keep your pieces short - less than 1000 words, preferably, and stick to your topic.
Avoid long digression
- No advertising. You may write about the service and treatmant you had from a shop
or business, you may recommend a trader, you may even criticise fairly and constructively,
but if your piece is considered to be just an advertisement for any business, whether
or not you have any connection with it, it will not be published.
- Anything considered defamatory, libellous or contrary to the general editorial policy
of the magazine will be refused.
- Write about what you know about. Make sure you are accurate. The editors have a
duty to check facts and will not publish anything that appears to be inaccurate.
- Try to illustrate your article with relevant photographs. Any images must be your
own property or reproduced with the permission of the owner. If you have permission
to use someone else’s photos, include the name of the image owner so that a formal
credit can be printed.
- If possible compress large picture files before mailing them to us. 800 x 600 pixels
in moderately compressed jpeg format makes a very reasonable size file for mailing
and for online publication.
- Send your entries into features@frogsiders.com
- Frogsiders reserves the right to edit any article as the Editor sees necessary.
- The Editor’s decision in all matters of publication of articles will be final.
Best of Luck! We’ll give a special award for the best contribution each year.
